Stonefly

Are you seeking an exciting mountain biking adventure? Look no further than Mt Buller mountain bike park! Boasting world-class trails, this alpine paradise will have your pedals turning and adrenaline pumping.

No matter your riding preference – from smooth gravity trails like Copperhead to more demanding rocky terrain that will test you to your limits – Mt Buller offers something for every rider, and with their dedicated team of trail workers constantly upgrading and refreshing the trail network there’s always something new waiting for you on every visit!

Stonefly, Mt Buller Mountain Bike Park’s latest addition, provides an unforgettable wilderness ride through its long climb and steep descent – providing both an epic challenge and incredible opportunity to reconnect with nature.

With so much effort being poured into building this trail, even experienced mountain bikers will face plenty of obstacles on it. Construction took two years and features 19 bridges up to 12-metres long plus lots of rock armouring and amazing hero dirt berms carved out for you to enjoy. But that is just the start – Mt Buller and World Trail team has been hard at work over the last year improving, repairing and creating new trails!

As part of their biggest project yet – IMBA Epic trail (or IMTBA Epic trail, as known to MTBers), is scheduled to open later this year in Australia and will take riders on an epic 46km cross-country descent that requires much more than just fitness and good attitude!

The Epic Trail at Mt Buller was carefully planned with its unique alpine environment in mind, taking care to avoid areas with flowing water where endangered Mount Donna Buang wingless stonefly may reside. Furthermore, its impact has been minimised upon flora and fauna with regular monitoring for sedimentation issues.
